Had a bit of fun over the weekend with our Christmas production of “No Vacancy”. It was a New Zealand wide ‘live’ event held in six locations and retold the Christmas story with a slightly different twist. It was a real team effort and made all the richer by the willingness of all involved… But it gave me an opportunity to do a bit of Christmas Cosplay – lol.
I must give a should out to a friend for the loan of his top hat and handmade Assassin’s Creed jacket that he and another mate crafted for last years Armageddon 2016. I used this and misc cloth and nic-nacks to make a kind of Steampunk version of a Wise man, just without the weaponry, and to disguise the jacket enough so that no one would spring me for the real source.
The production was very much a home grown event although the promotional material looked very professional.
It was a real team effort and made all the richer by the willingness of all to get involved… Can’t wait for the next one!
